Hello,
I am putting together my Christmas list and I wanted to know what name brand and size pan you recommend for on stove skillet and what one for stove-top to oven. I like doing a lot of your one pot meals and love the pan I have but they no longer make it. Looking for your suggestions.
Thank you,
Stacey
Hi Stacey,
My favorite to use is the Lodge cast iron skillet because it’s pretty decent price for what you get, here’s the link to it: https://amzn.to/2ChMscB
Would like a receipe for Rolly Polly that is gluten free
Thanks.
This Maple Mustard Turkey recipe looks really good
Since I forgot to post my comment, I am wondering if there is much that would need to be changed to use this on a fried turkey?
You can use the maple mustard glaze on the turkey after it’s done frying. Skip the step where we score the meat and pour the glaze over it before cooking- it won’t fry well.
hi Jo! I am so happy to find your website . I too was born Romania and came here when I was a child . I was looking for the Romanian recipe for the lemon chicken and rice soup . It’s my very favorite!! I have not made it for years as my mom used to make it for me and she has not been able to cook for years, as her dementia has progressed . I finally decided that I need to make it make it again 🙂 your tasted just like hers ❤️ Thank you !!
That’s so great to hear! We’re so happy it turned out well for you.
Love your site.
Just had a Chimney Cake. I understand they originated in Transylvania (my mom’s home town) In our Romanian household we never had, but these were amazing. Do you have a recipe for them?
I didn’t know they originated in Transylvania, and believe it or not I’ve never had one. Just had to google them to see what you’re talking about, thought they were more Hungarian or somewhere around there. Anyway, I don’t yet have a recipe, but I will be looking into it. 🙂
Could you please give the exact quantities of the ingredients for the Finnish rolls
Yes, the quantities are in the recipe card.
I searched your site for vegetarian dishes and it came up with beef, chicken and corn dog recipe….. parameters might need some tweeking!
However…. recipes I have tried were great- thanks!
Haven’t tried any recipes yet. I was intrigued by the Finnish cardamom rolls. My parents were from Estonia, so I can relate to Finnish and European foods. I intend to try your recipes. They all look good.
I want to compliment you on your website! I’ve been in IT all my life, and I’ve seen a lot. I was impressed by your site: great organization (pull down indexes), excellent photographs (sometime photos of food can have colour weirdly “off”?), and I like that you share everything. I’ve put your 30-Minute One-Pot Meals cookbook on my Amazon wish list. Keep up the good work, and thanks, much!
I made your spanish rice with chicken thighs and it was the best I ever had. Now I am checking out your other recipes!! Thanks sooo much for sharing…
This is a terrific site, Jo! I am an avid baker and cannot wait to dive in on some of the less familiar recipes.
On your Apple pie cake you say to prepare the cake batter (Betty Cocker Supermoist yellow cake mix) by the instructions on the box. But then when you write out the directions for this recipe you have different measurements for the water and the oil. So do I go by cake box measurements or yours? You add more water and less oil.
Go by the box instructions, they could all have different measurements.
Your Cajun Meatballs in Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce – you say the meatballs can be cooked in the Instant Pot. Should I cook the sauce in the Instant Pot as well or separately before I add it to the meatballs?
Let me know because I love Instant Pot recipes. Thanks. Yvonne
The Instant Pot will need liquid to work so use the sauce while cooking the meatballs!
THIS SITE IS AWESOME! I’ve made so many recipes from firecracker salmon, to beef burgundy to lemon rice soup and WOW…all delicious. I have a suggestion: Add “comfort food” to your quick reference tabs….for the mac and cheese, meatloaf, beef burgundy, mashed potatoes, etc.
Hi Jo, I could have sworn I saw a buffalo chicken lasagna recipe the other day, and now I can’t find it. Do you have one?
It’s on my other blog, here you go: https://cravinghomecooked.com/buffalo-chicken-lasagna/
Thanks!
I don’t comment much on recipes. Not my thing. But I did want to congratulate you on what I think is a great one-stop recipe website. Most recipes are family friendly and there aren’t 20 different versions to confuse me. Every time I’ve wondered how to make a particular dish, your site has always had a version available. I think you find the best of the best and for that I’m grateful. I don’t browse several sites anymore. Yours and one other are the only recipe sites I visit. It’s a waste of time and yours is always searched first. Please be proud. You’ve done a great job.
Thank you Lori! This means a lot to me. 🙂
