Pork is very common in my household, and that is because my husband loves pork. If he could eat pork every day for every meal I think he would. So I came about this recipe, because I am always looking for different ways of cooking pork. This recipe is very simple and you could really use any pork meat you wish including ribs, but I happened to have a small pork loin about 2 pounds, so I decided to use that, because it is very lean meat. It turned out delicious.
In a large skillet add the olive oil and heat over medium to high heat. Add the pork.

Cook the pork until it’s no longer pink.

While the pork is cooking, mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Pour the sauce over the pork.

Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the sauce has reduced. There should only be about 3 tablespoons of sauce left. Stir the pork to make sure each piece is nicely coated. Garnish with parsley or green onions.

Ingredients:
- 2 lb pork loin
- 1 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the pork in about 1 inch pieces and saute in a pan with the vegetable oil for about 3 minutes, until pork is no longer pink.
- In a medium bowl mix the rest of the ingredients. Pour over the pork and bring to a boil. You may think there’s too much water, but it will reduce. Once it’s boiling turn the heat down to low and let simmer for about 30 minutes or until there's only about 3 tbsp of sauce left.
- Stir the pork in the sauce to make sure each piece is coated.
- Serve with steamed rice.
Enjoy!

This sounds so delicious!
This is a great idea! I can imagine this going down really well with stir-fried veggies on the side. Could be delicious with chicken or prawns too.
Great idea, I’ve only made it with pork before, but I would imagine chicken would work great, and come to think of it, even beef would be perfect.
This looks so tasty!
It is, very flavorful.
