Whenever I mention quinoa to people, most people have no idea what I’m talking about and the ones that do, love it. Quinoa is like a grain and you can basically substitute for rice or noodles in your dishes. However, quinoa has lots of great health benefits such as it being rich in protein content, in fact, it’s a complete protein. Other benefits are its high content of manganese, good source of magnesium, riboflavin which reduces frequency of migraine headaches, low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and it’s a great source of calcium, among many more benefits.
If you’ve never had it, I suggest you try it, I personally really like it. This quinoa pilaf with chicken is an easy recipe and very healthy.
