What’s for dinner tonight? Well I came home from work and I was extremely tired, so my husband suggested a BBQ because for the first time in a very long and cold winter, it was beautiful outside, maybe about 7 degrees C and sunny.  I love when he suggests a BBQ because it means very little cooking for me. He had picked up these beautiful lean pork steaks from the grocery store and I made a wonderful Boston lettuce salad and dinner was amazing.  So quick, delicious and extremely healthy.

Grilled Pork Steak With Boston Lettuce Salad

Rating: 51

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 50 minutes

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 lean pork steaks
  • 1 Boston lettuce
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese cubed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Start up your grill and wait till grill is very hot.
  2. Season your pork steaks with salt and pepper to taste, and any other spices you prefer. I have these spice mixes for pork, chicken, or beef so sometimes I use these for extra flavor.
  3. Grill the pork on each side to your liking, usually we do it for 10 min or so per side, we like it medium to well done.
  4. In the meantime, to prepare the salad, wash the Boston lettuce really well and cut in thin strips. Chop up the tomatoes and green pepper. In a big bowl, add the lettuce, tomatoes, green pepper and feta. Add the olive oil, salt and pepper and vinegar and toss really well. This salad is so simple, but it’s soooo good.
  5. Serve the pork with a side of salad.
