Twice Baked Potato Slices

There's something totally delicious about these potatoes. It's called BACON. We know bacon makes everything better, and it totally does in this recipe. Not that these potatoes wouldn't be delicious on their own, aka no bacon, but bacon brings a whole new flavor dimension. To anything. Bacon is where it's at. Just remember that I am a bacon enthusiast, so bacon really does rock my world. And my dog's. Totally rocks my dog's world. So just embrace bacon. Mexican BLT with Guacamole

I think I have a split personality when it comes to food. The reason I say this is because sometimes you see recipes like this Mexican BLT with Guacamole or this Thai Chicken Salad on my blog which are fairly healthy and then sometimes you see recipes like Sex in a Pan or this chocolate cake here. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just wanted you to know that I know. Have I confused you yet? Well here's the thing my friends, you need variety in your life, so here you will find lots … [Read more...]

Gnocchi with Bacon, Tomato Sauce and Mozzarella

Happy Weekend! All I want to do right now is go to bed, get under the covers and watch a chick flick. Yes I call them chick flicks, but I love them, I even make my husband watch them with me sometimes and I think he even enjoys them. He's getting soft in his old age. But it's been a hectic week and I'm tired and all I feel like doing right now is stay in bed and watch TV. Pretty exciting, eh? I still had to cook something, so here comes gnocchi with bacon, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, … [Read more...]

Ever since then this is pretty much all I've watched on TV. As I watch each show I think one more and I'll find out who A is. Deli Pizza

Pizza! One of my favorite foods to eat of all time. I am salivating just writing about it. We made this for the first time a couple weeks ago and we loved it so much we had to make it again. And again! The funny thing was, it was a saturday night and we hadn't gone grocery shopping yet. We were hungry and nothing to eat. So our goto food is always pizza, we've been making pizza ever since we learned how to make pizza dough and we never looked back since. Anyhow, we didn't have too many … [Read more...]

Tuscan Bean Soup with Bacon and Kabanos

We've had so much snow here over the past week or so, you'd think winter is just beginning, although in most places winter is ending and spring is beginning. On such dreary winter days I crave comfort food and there's nothing more comforting than a bowl of bean soup. Tuscan soup is usually a hearty soup usually made with inexpensive vegetables such as cabbage, or cannellini beans. I made mine with with navy beans and black eyed beans, a 19 oz can of each. Now if you're wondering what kabanos … [Read more...]

roasted red pepper pecan pesto pasta-1-2

I hope everyone's had a very merry Christmas, just as I did with my family. It was wonderful, just sad that it's now over. Today is Boxing Day in Canada, the biggest shopping day of the year here. For the first time in a few years I actually went shopping on Boxing Day, mostly because my sister dragged me out, I mean it's -25 Celsius here, and that's pretty cold if you ask me. Anyway to make a long story short, long day, tiring and cold. I was not in the mood to cook for hours so I decided on … [Read more...]

Fries Supreme

fries supreme-1-2

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Remember that 1980's Pantene commercial? That's what I think of when I see these fries! Seriously. Look at them. They are gorgeous. But unlike that Pantene commercial this did happen over night, actually it happened in about an hour. Why do I remember these stupid things, that commercial is forever imprinted in my brain. But anyway, look at these fries? Do they make you hungry? Do they make you crave them? I thought so. I hate to admit it but … [Read more...]

Bacon and Cream Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

I'm a bit sad! My nice 4 day long weekend is coming to an end. And what a weekend it was, we got so much snow, it snowed for 2 days in a row. Now it's finally starting to warm just a bit and the snow is slowly melting. Though there is one family member that really enjoys this weather and that is my dog. Today's recipe is bacon and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms. I love my stuffed mushrooms and I make them every chance I get.
