Let me tell you about this cocktail.

It rocks!

It’s amazing!

I had 2 today, and I am very very happy. Now you have to know me, I don’t usually drink a lot, mostly because I can’t hold my liquor. But when I do, I get very happy, and everything anyone says is super hilarious to me.

It’s all good! I am having fun, and I hope those around me are having fun as well. But this Americano, man I cannot stop drinking it. Except I can’t feel my lips anymore and when that happens, I know I’ve had too much to drink.

I remember growing up my parents always had Cinzano in the house, and I tried it once and thought it was super bitter. It’s a sweet vermouth that’s super sweet when you first taste it, and then slowly it gets very bitter. And that’s the only thing that stuck with me all these years, is how bitter it was.

My husband though, loves this stuff, so he bought some Cinzano vermouth this weekend and a bottle of Campari. Never had Campari either. Yet another bitter tasting drink. I for one, buy alcohol for the bottles, I think the bottles are so cute, especially the ones with alcohol that’s all different colors. What can I say, I’m not a drinker.

So my husband says it’s time for me to try an Americano. And that I did. I loved it! The way I look at it, it’s an adult drink. That’s me, yep, an adult.

As I said it starts out so nice and sweet and then slowly becomes bitter. Not a bad bitter, but a good bitter.

    That is just beautiful!!!

I had a bit of a bender last night (started with beer, ended with wine… always a mistake), so i can not really appreciate the imagined taste (right now, it is imagined as tasting like stomach bile)… But honestly, tomorrow afternoon I am thinking this will sound great!

So, if we do stupid things, why are they called adult beverages???
