Often I am asked how many grams in a cup of flour or how many ounces in a cup of sugar. Sometimes I will provide all that information if I have it, otherwise I will just post the measurements that I have. My readers in Europe prefer the measurements in grams and my readers in the US and Canada prefer the measurements in cups or ounces.
To make everyone happy, I’m going to provide some conversions here for some basic ingredients.

I am bit confused on the measurements page. I always use gold medal flour and like to measure flour in my recipes to have consistency. However the flour measurements for flour is 120g per cup. You state you prefer 125g per cup, which is best ?
You can start with 120g per cup and add a little more if you feel it’s necessary!
Hi Jo
Since I am from India ,not really sure if you normally use the Canadian cups or U.S.
How much would be 1 cup of water amount to in mils?
Thanks
I use US cups which is around 236 ml to a cup, but the difference is so small it shouldn’t matter in most recipes.
I can not for the life of me figure out the 150 grams of sugar. What does it equal to in regular measuring cups??
Thank you
It’s about .6 of a cup which is just a bit over half a cup. Hope this helps.
