Baked Eggs in a Basket with Asiago Cheese – perfect for a weekend breakfast or brunch. Delicious and super easy to make.
These eggs in a basket is a breakfast classic. I love eggs in a basket so much, I decided to try and create an even better version of the classic. I decided to make these with a nice brioche bread and add asiago cheese, and then bake them! They turned out fantastic, just phenomenal. My husband loved these and he ate 3 of them. Trust me, this is worth a try.
These eggs make for a perfect weekend breakfast or you know what, if you have about 20 minutes in the morning, you could make these any day of the week. What a wonderful way to start your way.
First you need to butter the ramekins with butter. Then place a slice of brioche bread in the bottom and add about a tablespoon of shredded asiago cheese. Next, crack an egg on top of the cheese, add another tablespoon of asiago cheese and season with salt and pepper. I also garnished it with some parsley for color.
Bake these in a preheated oven at 375 F degrees for about 15 minutes and then enjoy them with your loved ones.
They are so delicious and so filling, and only 5 weight watchers points.

Baked Eggs in a Basket with Asiago Cheese
- 2 tsp butter
- 4 eggs
- 4 slices brioche bread
- 1/2 cup asiago cheese shredded
- salt and pepper to taste
- parsley chopped
- Preheat oven to 375 F degrees.
- Thoroughly butter the ramekins. Add a slice of brioche bread to the bottom of the ramekin and press tightly. Add a tablespoon of the asiago cheese over the bread, then crack an egg on top of the cheese. Top with another tablespoon of asiago cheese, season with salt and pepper and garnish with parsley.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
