Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner

As much as I love being in the kitchen cooking and baking until my heart desires, there is one thing I despise the most and that is cleaning up and doing the dishes. And let me tell you that when you cook a few recipes a day the dishes pile up and they pile up fast and furious. Before we had dishwashers we used to complain about washing dishes all the time. Now I love to complain about loading and unloading the dishwasher. I just wish they would come out with robots that would help you out in the kitchen with all this stuff. But since there are no robots yet, I do have my dear husband who does a great job of loading and unloading the dishwasher.

Anyway, I am still grateful for dishwashers and very thankful. As a food blogger, I use mine pretty much on a daily basis, especially now that I’m cooking like crazy for my book. Cooking a few recipes a day is pretty much my life. After using the dishwasher on a daily basis, even the dishwasher itself gets full of grease and other nasty things I’d rather not talk about. And I’m not one that rinses my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I mean really? If I were to rinse them, then I might as well wash them myself.

So yeah after all that use and abuse, even dishwashers need to be cleaned about once a month to ensure that it runs at its best. Who knew? Which brings me to this great product, Finish Dishwasher cleaner which does your dirty job for you. Really you don’t have to do anything, except once a month or whenever you notice build up in your dishwasher, just place a bottle of this cleaner directly into your dishwasher, just like you see in the picture below. There’s no cap that you have to remove, all you have to do is remove a sticker from the top of the cap, and place the bottle upside down in the bottom rack of your dishwasher.

Finish in the dishwasher

You simply have to run your dishwasher on the hottest cycle that it has, or if you have a sanitize option use that, and start it up and let it do its thing. And that’s all there is to it. Once the dishwasher is finished you’ll have a nice clean and sparkling new dishwasher that you’ll be more than happy to use because now it’s no longer gross.

Dishwasher

A cleaner dishwasher means cleaner dishes, my friends, so trust me here. Say goodbye to greasy and filthy dishwashers.

You bet Jo! I can’t describe how much i loath washing dishes and same goes for my dear hub! And with a food blog running there is just no end to dishes! We don’t have a dishwasher yet as our current place is small and I am sure to invest in one as soon as we move to a bigger house!

I just use a bit of vinegar when I run the dishwasher and mine stays pretty clean.

I don’t have a dishwasher. I sacrificed it for storage. BUT in my former life when I did, Finish was the only option I would consider! 🙂 N x

My dishwasher is only 8 months old, but every time I open it the smell is horrible. I wonder if this product will help.

      Hi Patricia,
I think it depends where the smell is coming from. It could be coming from the pipes, in that case I’m not sure what you can do. But if it’s coming from the dishwasher from grease and other leftover food around the bottom of the dishwasher this should help.

I just thought about this, if the smell is coming from the pipes my mom always uses baking soda or bleach, just pour some bleach down the drain and it really helps with the smell.

I despise doing dishes too but dishwashers is way better than doing dishes by hand just like we do in the Philippines. I have used Finished and it does remove greasy grease real good. I am so happy with it.
