Mint Chocolate Oreo Cookie Trifle – delicious little sinful trifles perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, loaded with mint chocolate and chocolate fudge pudding.
As promised here I am with my St. Patrick’s Day trifle. I made this to take to my sister yesterday and I’m glad I did because they loved it! This isn’t the usual trifle I make, and I am known to make trifles on occasions, but seeing that St. Patrick’s Day was just around the corner, I thought this would be a more fun way of enjoying a trifle. To put this together is super easy. The only thing that might take you a bit to make is the whipped cream, which I made myself with whipping cream, a bit of mint extract and green food coloring.
I’m not usually big on food coloring, but sometimes for special occasions I’m ok with using it. So really all that’s left to this trifle are mint chocolate, oreo cookies and chocolate fudge pudding. I suppose I could have made the pudding myself but why bother. I bought ready made Jell-o chocolate fudge pudding, it was so easy.
For the mint chocolate I used a combination of Aero Mint Chocolate and York minis. I wanted to use mint oreo cookies but I couldn’t find them so I just used regular oreo cookies.
