Don’t you love summer? I believe it is officially summer. If only it would stop raining here in Calgary. Soon enough. June is our rainy month and then sunshine for the rest of the summer. Winters are so long here in Calgary that all I can think of for most of the year are the months of July and August. These two months are what makes living in Calgary worth while. I really think that Calgary is the best place in the world to live in during July and August. So I guess you suffer 10 months out of the year, to have bliss for a couple months.
Makes sense. Right?
I recently came across www.pillsbury.com and I never knew they had recipes on their site, but they do, quite a few of them actually. One of them was this wonderful pizza bubble ring.
Who knew you could make so many things with biscuit dough. I can see this pizza bubble ring being a total success with children. I mean, how could it not be, it was quite a big hit with the adults here. The only thing I changed about this recipe is I didn’t pour the leftover butter over the bubbles, and the reason was that I thought it would make the bubbles too greasy. I’m glad I didn’t, there’s enough flavor there already and dare I say it, enough fat.
Maybe another little change I could have done is add a bit more cheese to them, but nevertheless they were fantastic. There is cheese in this just a bit hard to see, that’s why I said I would have like to add a little bit more cheese.
Dip them in a little pizza sauce and you’ve got yourself a top notch meal!
Well meal, snack, or appetizer, whatever you want.
