Mulled Wine

Here's a recipe for a simple Mulled Wine that's sure to warm you during the holiday season! So if you're looking to party like it's 1899, nothing beats this traditional winter cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine I used Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 orange

Instructions

  • Add the first 7 ingredients to a saucepan. Juice the lemon and orange and add the juice to the pan.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat then reduce to low heat and simmer for another 15 minutes.
  • Serve warm with orange slices.
