Roasted Potatoes with Spices

  • 15 - 20 red baby potatoes washed and cut in half
  • 1 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Preheat oven to 375 F degrees
  • Wash and cut the potatoes in half and place them in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the remainder of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Pour the spice mixture over the potatoes and mix well so each potato is coated evenly.
  • Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake the potatoes for 45 minutes.
  • After half hour remove aluminum foil, turn the heat up to 400 F degrees and bake for another 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and browned.
