Ingredients

  • 2 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 egg white optional
  • Club soda to top

Instructions

  • Add the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white (if using) to a shaker and vigorously shake for about 15 seconds. Add 3 or 4 ice cubes and shake until well-chilled.
  • Strain using a mini strainer into a glass and top with Club soda.
  • Garnish with lemon wedge/slice or peel and serve.

Notes

  1. You can purchase different "flavored" gin. Test some out and see which one is your favorite!
  2. If you want to add something a little extra, you can add different types of bitters into this drink for a more complex flavor profile.
  3. You can make your own gin at home! There are many places that sell "at home gin making kits" that include different botanicals and herbs to customize your own! Check online or with your local liquor distributors for more info.
  4. Use lime juice as a substitute for lemon if you prefer!
  5. You can add as much or as little simple syrup as you like depending on how sweet you want your cocktail.
