Irish Mule

This Irish Mule is the perfect cocktail to enjoy anytime, but especially on St. Patrick's day. A drink that's filled with good old Irish whiskey, some freshly squeezed lime juice, and lots of fizzy ginger beer.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces Irish Whiskey
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice from 1 limes
  • 8 ounces ginger beer

Instructions

  • Assemble the drinks. Fill two copper mugs or similarly sized glasses with ice. Add the Irish Whiskey, lime juice and ginger beer to a pitcher. Gently swirl it with a spoon to mix. Pour into the prepared mugs.
  • Garnish. Garnish with lime wedges and a sprig of mint if preferred and enjoy.

Notes

  1. If possible, I would recommend using copper mugs. They really keep a drink cold for a longer time. A nice cocktail glass will also work nicely if you don't have the copper ones.
  2. You can add more ginger beer and less alcohol for a lighter and refreshing drink.
  3. Muddle the mint for extra flavor.
