Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffins with Praline Sauce

Oh my! These babies are bad! But they're so good! You can't stop at just one. I made these during the holidays and they did not last long. The best part about these babies is the little chocolate peanut butter cups. They're to die for, that's if you like peanut butter cups. If you don't, then simply replace them with regular chocolate chips, but trust me, they really give these muffins that great peanut butter flavor. So I lied, there's another great part about these muffins and that's … [Read more...]

German Chocolate Cake

german chocolate cake-1-2

One of my favorite cakes is German chocolate cake. I don't make it often, this is probably the second time I've made it, but it is amazing, however I will eat it whenever I get a chance. My favorite part about it is the coconut and pecan topping, obviously. Coconut and pecans together make a fabulous combination. The chocolate cake itself is the same recipe I always use for chocolate cake because I think it's the best. It's a moist cake that's made with buttermilk and it's just unbelievably … [Read more...]

I haven't made cookies in a long time, but my husband was in the mood for some cookies because he's been sick for the past couple weeks. Nutty Banana Sundae

Nutty Banana Sundae-1

I love summer and one of the main reasons I love summer is the fact that I can eat ice cream, because it's hot enough. I know you're probably thinking that I could eat ice cream all year round, but not really, as soon as I have ice cream in the winter, immediately I get a soar throat. Not in the summer. I can eat lots of ice cream. So because I can only eat ice cream in the summer I try and make it a special occasion whenever I do so. These Congo bars have it all. They are cookies and brownies, they are to die for. I love it when I find little gems like this in my old cookbooks. I have had this Cookies book for at least 10 years and I usually take it out around the holidays and make some cookies from it. It never let me down. The cookies always turn out wonderful and delicious. Same with these Congo bars. I had never made this recipe before but what intrigued me were the flavor combinations.
