Super Easy Caramel Apple Dip Recipe
A delicious and easy Caramel Apple Dip with cream cheese and toffee bits. This yummy treat is unbelievable! It’s so delicious, I could barely stop myself from eating it. The best part? It takes a mere 5 minutes to make!
Adults and kids alike will love this dip! Smooth cream cheese mixed with hot melted caramel and crunchy skor bits (toffee bits) make this simple treat so impressive. If you’re looking for a quick snack to keep the kids quiet for a while, this is the one! Everyone I’ve made this for absolutely loves it!
I got this recipe from a dear friend years ago, same one I got sex in a pan from, she sent me this and said this is her go to recipe for when she has surprise guests or big family dinners. Once I made it, I had to agree! This caramel apple dip is such a crowd pleaser!
- Cream Cheese – You’ll want it at room temperature so that it’s easy to mix!
- Brown Sugar – You can add more or less to taste.
- Caramel Dip – You can find it in the fruit section of your grocery store or make your own.
- Skor Bits – You can find skor bits or toffee bits in the baking aisle or your grocery store, or crumble up your own skor chocolate bars.
- Apples – Use your favorite apples.
How to make caramel apple dip
- Make Cream Cheese Mixture: Using an electric mixer, mix the cream cheese and brown sugar together until well blended.
- Assemble: Spread the cream cheese/brown sugar mixture on a large round serving plate (you want it to be at least 1/2 inch deep). Next, spread the caramel dip over the cream cheese mixture.
- Top: Sprinkle with skor bits (add more skor bits for a crunchier texture).
- Chill: Store it in the fridge covered with plastic wrap until you are ready to serve. Take it out at least 20 minutes before serving so the cream cheese can soften a bit. While you’re waiting for the cream cheese to soften, cut your apples into wedges. I usually drizzle a bit of lemon juice over them so they don’t turn brown.
- Serve: Dip your apples and enjoy!
Other dippers
Of course this is called “caramel apple dip” therefore, it’s great with apples. Nonetheless, you can serve this with whatever tickles your fancy! I went rogue and cut up some peaches, let me tell you – it was to die for.
Here are some great options to try if you want to serve this as a “caramel dip” charcuterie.
- Pretzels (chocolate covered as well)
- Peaches
- Pears
- Cookies/Wafers
- Strawberries
- Nuts
- Biscotti
- Chocolate Sticks
Leftovers
If somehow, by a miracle you have any leftover, you can keep it for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container stored in the refrigerator.
You can reheat your dip for a few seconds before dipping!
Freezing
You can also keep this in the freezer! Place in a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months.

Hey!! This looks amazing, just wondering if there is something I can substitute cream cheese with?
Hey, thanks for your interest in the caramel apple dip! If you’re looking to substitute cream cheese, you could try using mascarpone for a similar creamy texture. Greek yogurt or a dairy-free cream cheese alternative could also work well. Just keep in mind that the flavor may change slightly depending on what you use. Happy dipping! 🍏🍯
Okay thank you so much! I’m excited to bring this to thanksgiving !
I always add a tub of cool whip to my cream cheese and brown sugar. Makes it light and fluffy for easier scooping 😊
This dip is seriously addicting! I made it for the superbowl last night and everyone loved it!
I have made this with cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla and chopped peanuts. I’ll bet the caramel dip and toffee is excellent!!!!
Yum! Where do you still buy Skor bits? They stopped selling them in stores in Utah years ago and I miss them like crazy!!!!
Oh I find them at Safeway all the time, but I’m in Canada.
Bulk Barn
I couldn’t find them in the grocery store either. I found mine at The Bulk Barn. (In Canada).
How much cream cheese did u use? 16oz package?
It’s an 8 oz package.
To keep your apples from browning, dip em in Sprite or 7up! Gonna try this for anniversary party this weekend…thanx! 🙂
You’re welcome, thanks for the tip!
Just wondering if its the single serving caramel dip or the big one which is maybe two cups? Thanks so much this looks delish!
This one was about a cup…so it must be the single serving caramel dip.
Thank you!
Can’t get most of the stuff here but can’t you eat it with a spoon and not apples or anything!
Lol, sure you can, but it’s more of a fruit dip, however you can eat it anyway you wish. 🙂
wow! amazing how she found you through a recipe she taught you to do! yep, life is weird.
Yep, totally agree. 🙂
