Transport yourself to the tropics with this electric Blue Hawaiian cocktail! This drink is made with a blend of ingredients that will make you feel like you’re sitting on a beach in Hawaii, no matter your location!

This Blue Hawaiian is such a fun drink! I consider it one of those “deadly” cocktails, because you can barely taste any alcohol in it! This blended tropical cocktail is so delicious, you won’t be able to resist!

Vodka, light rum, and blue curaçao liqueur are blended with cream of coconut and pineapple juice creating an electric blue, quintessential summer sipper. Anytime I order this drink, even in -30C Canadian winter, I feel like I’m somewhere on a beach! It’s sweet, delicious, and a must try cocktail!

I don’t know about you, but where I live, it gets COLD in the winter. I’m talking, frozen eyelashes, can’t feel your face cold. Since I don’t always have the luxury of being able to get away somewhere warm, I like to make my own little “stay-cations” at home. This blended Blue Hawaiian cocktail comes to mind when I want to feel like I’m somewhere tropical, regardless of the weather!

  2. Garnish & Serve: Garnish with pineapple slice and maraschino cherry.

FAQs

What Do You Garnish A Blue Hawaiian With?

Sliced pineapple, maraschino cherry, mini umbrella!

What’s The Best Kind Of Ice For This Cocktail?

Crushed ice is easier to blend or shake.

Blue Hawaiian VS Blue Hawaii

The Blue Hawaii is also a tropical inspired cocktail made up of the same ingredients as the Blue Hawaiian (rum, pineapple juice, vodka, blue curaçao liqueur). The only difference being the cream of coconut is switched out for a sweet and sour mix!

What If I Don’t Like Coconut

If you aren’t a fan of coconut, I would suggest trying the Blue Hawaii instead!

Leftovers?

I wouldn’t make more of this cocktail than needed because blended drinks don’t store well.

Jo – which is the least sweet, the Hawaiian or the Hawaii? How can I cut back on the sweetness?
