Cauliflower Poppers – cauliflower pieces coated with simple spices and roasted to perfection.
Today’s recipe which is a favorite of mine, not of my husband’s though, which is a bonus for me because we don’t have to fight over these morsels. I don’t know what it is about roasted cauliflower that I love so much, but I do, and especially if you flavor the cauliflower with different spices like I did this time, very simple spices I might say, smoked paprika, and salt and pepper.
You can’t get any simpler than that. I did rub some olive oil over the cauliflower pieces, but that’s about it. I do like my cauliflower nicely roasted. This is so delicious, it’s like popcorn, it’s healthy, it makes a perfect side dish, it’s the ultimate healthy snack.
Have I sold you on it yet? Come on, cauliflower is good for you, stop being fussy and make this!

Really delicious! And you can add whatever sauce you want with it.
I will try making this. Looks very simple.
this dish looks so good…I’m going to try it this morning….will it work for broccoli also…thanks
Wondering since I found this under 21 day fix recipes what the portion containers are on the recipe?
This is one our very favorite vegetable recipes–I prepare it at least a couple times a month. I’ve even served them to avowed cauliflower haters and they have all said they just thought they hated cauliflower! It is important to give them enough space to roast though–otherwise they just steam and don’t brown. They’re still delicious though!
I am going to try these tonight using Ras El Hanout. My favourite Moroccan blend of spices. Will serve with a lamb Tagline
These look amazing. I think even my husband who is not a cauliflower fan would dig in. I am trying to think of what dip I will serve with them, probably something with a bleu cheese base. Any suggestions?
A blue cheese dip would be nice, maybe even a simple ranch dip.
Alright Jo….I’m gonna try this with my steak dinner tonight. Went out and got some smoked paprika. Looks great and know I’m gonna love it. Thank you from 92 deg. Arizona 3/21/15.
Oh I’m jealous! Hope you like the cauliflower Jim 🙂
I am a first time user of your website.
Today I made your cauliflower poppers.
I didn’t have paprika, so I used Garam Masala, but only about 1 teaspoon.
I just loved this recipes.
A simple hack, mix the coating ingredients in a plastic bag throw in cauliflower florets and shake them up and ‘pour’ out on baking sheet – get a more even coating and toss the bag out – one less bowl to wash.
Just made this recipe for the second time in s many weeks. Very tasty! We devour an entire head of cauliflower at a time! I spray with PAM to hopefully save on some calories instead of the olive oil!!
Glad you liked it Linda!
I thought poppers were jalapeño peppers stuffed with cream cheese or something dipped in egg and bread crumbs and fried. I asked another cooking blog what it was but was never replied to so I googled them. I can’t get smoked paprika. Do you ever use green Thai curry. If so I need a question answered. Anybody can reply actually. It’s as hot as hades where I am.
Judy, I just called these popper because they’re small enough to just pop one in your mouth. I’ve never used green Thai curry.
I had trouble finding smoked Paprika. Found it on Amazon. Worth it, the flavor is amazing.

I love the sound of these. I think they would make a great lunchbox snack for my kids to take to school…
BTW, I am another Calgarian
Hey, well nice to virtually meet you and welcome to my blog. 🙂
Oh wow, these look so simple but I love how they’re sort of caramelised on the edges, and smoked paprika is one of my new favourite spices so I’m sure I’ll love these.
Ooh ooh! Me me me! Calgarian! 😀 so sick of winter! But these poppers will make my day in the next few!
Hi Julia, looks like winter is coming to an end…but we know better. 🙂
