Delicious morsels of Deep Fried Cauliflower Pieces perfect for a quick snack, game day or an incredible appetizer that everyone will love!
The Best Deep Fried Cauliflower
I know these aren’t healthy for you but look at it this way, they’re half healthy because it’s cauliflower. And every once in a while you can indulge.
I must tell you though, this is probably going to be the most tasty cauliflower you’ll ever have. So yes, you shouldn’t have this all the time, but something like this is perfect for a party like a Superbowl party, or just a get together with friends.
These deep fried cauliflower pieces are nice and crispy and so yummy and the secret is that they are dipped in batter then rolled in Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. It’s an amazing snack, and you will love it. Now I added a little bit of Frank’s hot sauce to my batter because I wanted to spice them up a bit but that’s totally optional, though trust me it’s worth it if you can eat spicy. You can also use Panko breadcrumbs if you want, but I liked the Italian seasoned breadcrumbs here because of the extra flavor, totally up to you though.
One other thing I should mention is that if you don’t have a deep fryer, just use a skillet with about 1 inch of oil in it. You’ll just have to turn the cauliflower pieces to fry on all sides.

Made this the other day with a few changes and it was amazing. I used seltzer water and replaced bread crumbs with panko that I seasoned. The results were incredibly crispy light cauliflower.
About how long does it take in a deep fat fryer?
Hi Nancy! It will probably take 10-12 minutes at 400°F (200°C) in your air fryer.
This is so good.. I use rice bran oil for a healthier and delicious meal. Don’t forget to make some ranch dipping sauce to go with it.
Found this recipe and just had to try it. I didn’t change a thing. Absolutely delicious.
I made this and my whole family enjoyed. for me it’s a substitute for fry chicken
Found this site yesterday and made this cauliflower dish today. Excellent, excellent and excellent!!! So, yes, I loved it. Best recipe for cauliflower (and obviously other veggies) I have tried yet. I read a suggestion to use garlic and onion powder…superb results. Instead hot sauce I used curry powder. I spaced on the cheeses (this time, first time, only time). I used the trick of the double frying and that too was fine.
If I could give this a 6 I would….5 *****’s will have to do.
This is a great site. I shall return./JF
Made these tonight. Was a little nervous about the hot sauce and so cut back, but you didn’t really notice it. I could have added the full amount. I did add a little salt after cooking. So good!
I made this with Heather’s suggestion of adding Parmesan cheese, also garlic powder and onion powder to the flour mixture. This was a winner tonight. It disappeared very quickly lol!
I make this but I add a little Parmesan cheese into the flour mixture. So good!
Delicious, not too difficult to make, and I finally got my husband to eat cauliflower!

My pleasure, glad you like them!
I made this tonight as I had tried this in a local restaurant. This recipe is sooooo much better and easy! Will definitely make this again. Can you do this with broccoli? Other vegetables? The hardest part was waiting for these little crispy beauties to cool down. I did burn my lips once as I couldn’t wait! Patience, patience, patience.
Yes, you should be able to do this with other veggies, like broccoli, mushrooms, etc. Yes, patience is key!! 🙂
