Easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps Recipe

The name says it all! It’s a chicken bacon wrap coated in ranch.  Not hard to love, right?!? So if you liked my Buffalo Chicken Wraps and have tried my Chicken Ranch Burgers then these tasty wraps are for you!

This Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps recipe takes all the best parts of a chicken wrap and just adds strips of crispy bacon along with a bit of ranch dressing to the mix. It’s extra herby in flavor and savory with the added bacon. And to keep it simple you can use any type of chopped cooked chicken you like.

You can make these wraps ahead of time for lunch or just prep the chicken salad to roll the wraps as you eat them! The dish is super flexible and goes well with a side of potato salad and coleslaw for the ultimate southern comfort food inspired lunch.

Why We Love These Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps

  • Simple Recipe! This 15-minute chicken bacon wraps recipe is super quick and simple. By using already cooked chicken and crispy bacon there is no cooking involved! Just mix, roll, and eat!
  • Addictively Delicious! Ranch just makes everything better! And when combined with savory bacon and chicken, it makes for a fantastic combination.
  • Easy Finger Food! Perfect for an easy lunch, as an appetizer, or potluck, these ranch wraps are the ideal finger food that is both super delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Chicken Salad

ingredients needed to make chicken bacon ranch wraps.
  • Chicken –  Normally I just use both the white and dark meat from a rotisserie chicken or leftover grilled chicken but any type of cooked chopped chicken can be used to make these chicken bacon wraps.
  • Mayonnaise – Store-bought or Homemade Mayonnaise works well to bind the chicken salad together.
  • Ranch Dressing – It’s the star ingredient of the wraps and you can use any brand you like or make your own Ranch Dressing.
  • Celery – Adds a bit of freshness and crunch to the chicken ranch salad.
  • Parsley – Fresh chopped parsley blends well with the ranch to add a little more herby taste.
  • Salt – Seasons and brings out all the natural flavors.
  • Black Pepper – Regular or freshly ground black pepper is fine.

Wraps

ingredients needed to make chicken bacon ranch wraps.
  • Bacon – I used thick-cut crispy cooked bacon for my wraps. Do make sure you crisp up the bacon well for the best crunch.
  • Lettuce – For a little more crunch and a way to help keep the tortillas from getting soggy, make sure your lettuce has been dried off before making the wraps.
  • Flour Tortillas – You need large flour tortillas to make the wraps. Corn tortillas don’t work because they crack when you try to roll them. But you can use gluten free flour tortillas if you like.

How To Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps

This 15-minute recipe is super simple! You make a quick chicken salad coated in yummy ranch and then wrap it in a tortilla with some veggies and bacon. That’s it! It’s an easy recipe bursting with flavor!

Make The Chicken Salad

process shots showing how to make chicken salad for chicken bacon ranch wraps.

To begin, you need to whip together the chicken salad. Just add the cooked chopped chicken to a medium size bowl along with the mayonnaise, ranch dressing, celery, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Next, mix it all together until the ingredients are well combined and you’re done. The chicken salad is ready to go.

Make The Wraps

process shots showing how to assemble chicken bacon ranch wraps.

First off, you must use large tortillas to make 4 wraps. If you only have smaller flour tortillas then you will need to divide the mixture into 6 or 8 portions. Once you figure that out you can start wrapping!

Lay a tortilla down on a cutting board and then top it in the center with 2 leaves of lettuce. Next, add ¼ of the chicken salad on top of the lettuce followed by 2 strips of crispy cooked bacon. Now, roll up the tortilla, cut it in half, and then set it aside while you repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.

Serve The Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps

process shots showing how to air fry chicken wraps.

Before serving them, I like to pop mine in the air fryer to get them a little toasty on the outside. To do so, just place the wraps in your air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes at 380°F (193°C). This step is totally optional, but worth it in my opinion.

The wraps are made and ready to eat! You can now serve them with some extra ranch dressing and a side of healthy Baked Zucchini Chips if you like!

Can I Use Other Types Of Chopped Meat?

Yes! You can use any type of meat you want. Chopped turkey, pork, or beef are all good choices. You could even make shrimp or tuna bacon ranch wraps.

How Do I Keep The Wraps From Getting Soggy?

The easiest way to keep the wraps from getting too moist and soggy is to use the exact amounts of mayo and ranch in the chicken salad. Using too much ranch often results in a mixture that is too wet. And you can always serve the chicken bacon wraps with a side of ranch dressing for dipping.

What Is The Best Chicken To Use?

I like to use store-bought rotisserie chicken for the least amount of effort. However, any type of leftover chicken works well. But you can also bake or boil your own chicken and chop it if you prefer, which is what I did here. You can even use canned chicken if you like.

Expert Tips

  1. Only large tortillas. Even medium size tortillas can result in overstuffing the wraps which will make them tear. So either use large flour tortillas or portion out the chicken salad and make more wraps.
  2. Crispy bacon. Make sure to crisp up your bacon really well for an added crunchy texture. Chewy bacon will work, but it’s just not as yummy.
  3. Use a serrated knife. For nice clean cut ranch chicken wraps use a serrated knife. The next best option is to use a very sharp chef’s knife.
  4. Add extras. Feel free to toss in some shredded cheddar cheese, olives, or avocado when making your wraps. And for the ultimate chicken bacon ranch wraps don’t forget to serve them with additional ranch on the side for dipping.

Leftovers

Already wrapped and cut chicken bacon ranch wraps can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days when covered in plastic wrap or put in an airtight container. However, they do not freeze well.

I’m going to make these tonight. It looks so good. But can I put them in the air fryer for 5 minutes with sliced avocado and lettuce in them?

I’ve put them with lettuce and they were fine, not sure about the avocados, they might get a bit mushy but should still be edible.
