Crockpot Queso Blanco Dip – super cheesy Queso Blanco dip with my favorite ingredient; bacon! Perfect snack or appetizer for the holidays.
Queso Blanco Dip
Queso Blanco is a creamy, spicy, smooth and cheesy dip! It’s perfect as an appetizer, super easy to make and such a crowd pleaser! This dip is usually made with a blend of different cheeses, some green chiles and in this case, bacon! Bacon makes everything better! It’s true!
How to Make Crockpot Queso Blanco Dip
You can’t get any easier either, basically throw all the ingredients in a crockpot and wait. So my crockpot came with a baby crockpot which is just so ideal for dips. If your crockpot didn’t come with a smaller crockpot it doesn’t matter, the big one works too. The only difference with this baby crockpot is it only has one setting and that’s low, so it will take longer to make the dip vs in a large crockpot.
Once you throw in all your ingredients you basically just let the dip cook for about an hour and 15 minutes on low, or 45 minutes on high, no stirring required until time’s up. Can it get any easier? I. Think. Not.
How to Serve Queso Blanco Dip
I found these great tortilla sticks that are perfect for this dip. You will want to add some chopped cilantro and tomatoes to this dip, it makes it that much more refreshing.
What more could you want in a dip? It’s very cheesy, a bit spicy and best of all it has bacon, you know you can’t go wrong!

I’ve made lots of JoCooks recipes and ALWAYS Love them! But this one did not work, the cheese was clumpy and the rest was watery. Yes, I used freshly grated cheeses. What did I do wrong?
Sorry to hear this didn’t turn out for you. It could be a result of too much heat, heat is usually the culprit. If you made this on high, try it on low.
I’ve made this recipe probably ten times since I found this recipe and love the flavor! The cilantro and tomato toppings are a must, and I use jumbo Fritos as the chips with it. My issue is with the cheese, it seizes up about half the times I try and make this. Does anyone have tips to keep it liquidy?
Shred hour cheese fresh instead of using pre-shredded. The bags of shredded cheese will have a coating to keep the pieces separated- give it a feel! Very grainy.
How much queso does this make? 2 quarts?
You’ll get about 2 cups worth.
Can you double the recipe for a crowd and if so does it change the cook time
You can definitely double the recipe, and the cooking time should be the same.
I made this and the flavour was amazing. BUT the cheese thickened so quickly when removed from crock pot, and the oil separated from it all. It wasn’t much of a dip… we ended up spreading it over a plate of nachos as to not waste it. Still giving 4 stars for flavour
Mexican restaurants Use white America cheese melted with couple Tablespoons cream or half n half wth the green Chile’s, cumin add garlic salt. Yum. Use double boiler to melt cheese so won’t burn
Very interesting dip. Seems delicious, I will definitely cook it.
