FAQs & Expert Tips

FAQs

What Is Greek Seasoning?

Greek seasoning is a blend of spices and herbs common to the Mediterranean region. It’s a simple seasoning that pairs well with most meats or vegetables! The focus of Greek cooking is on the vegetables, breads and meats, greek seasoning compliments the natural flavor of these things rather than hiding or disguising it!

What Can I Use This Blend For?

This Greek blend is perfect for meat marinades, simple vegetable seasoning, perfect for dips, sauces, salads and anything you want to add a bit of Greek flair to!

Couldn’t I Just Use Those Spices Separately?

Of course you could store all those ingredients separately and measure out the ratios each time, but combining them all in a spice jar makes for an easy, convenient seasoning you can reach for without any hassle, and saves you a lot of time in the kitchen!

Tips

  • Add a bit of Greek seasoning to sour cream or Greek yogurt along with a squeeze of lemon for an easy dip!
  • Add a bit of dried lemon zest to incorporate a hit of citrus!
  • Write the name and date on the outside of the bottle or jar you’re storing your spice blend in, that way you will know when you have to make a new one!
  • You can also make this blend low-sodium or even salt-free by just leaving out the salt. It will still taste great!

Storing

Store Greek seasoning in an airtight container or jar. Make sure to store in a cool, dry place and your spice blend will last for up to one year.
