Delicious Crab Cake Sliders with Homemade Coleslaw and slider buns, blue cheese and baby arugula. These little morsels are not only adorable but pack a ton of flavor.
And blue cheese! And homemade slider buns! OK so here’s the thing, I’ve been wanting to make these crab cake sliders for the longest time but believe it or not I could never find the perfect cute little slider buns I wanted for these sliders. So I finally made my own and I am so glad I did. They were amazing and the great thing was that by making my own sliders I could make these slider buns as small as I wanted. YAY!
I’ve been craving these sliders ever since I had some at a restaurant a very long time ago and just absolutely loved them. The ones I had at a restaurant were little burgers and I thought they were just phenomenal, so much flavor packed into such a cute little package. So here I am wanting to make my own. But I didn’t feel like a burger, I thought that would be just a little too plain. So crab cakes it is. And boy, were they ever delicious.
To make the crab cakes is really pretty simple, you just have to mix all the ingredients together and form them into small patties. Bake them for about 15 minutes at 375 F degrees or until they are golden and done.
I also made a simple coleslaw to go with these crab cake sliders and it made all the difference. You really need the coleslaw otherwise they might be too dry unless you maybe use some mayo to go with them but trust me, coleslaw is the way to go here.
All that’s left to do now is just to assemble them. Bottom slider bun, tomato slice, blue cheese, crab cake, coleslaw, baby arugula and top slider bun. And repeat with the rest and OMG try and see if you can eat only 1! I could not. I ate 2 of them, or maybe 3, I can’t remember now, it’s all a blur. At 206 calories for a slider who cares? But these little buggers are perfect, perfect for a party, or a get together with friends, perfect if you want to surprise your significant other, or simply just perfect for you.

Wow, what a beautiful fresh looking recipe and love the fact that the crab cakes are baked!! My husband is allergic to shellfish though. Could I possibly use canned salmon or any other suggestions? I really want to make this for the weekend!!

Salmon would be perfect, even canned tuna. 🙂
